The 2014 Malibu by Chevrolet is an incredible improvement on previous models and comes in LS, 3 LT models, and 2 LTZ models, as well as the Eco model. This Malibu has several new and updated features including a new engine and an improved, more comfortable interior.
The 2.5 L engine now has a stop-start system with a new intake valve lift control that helps to increase even the LT’s fuel economy to equal that of the Eco version at 36 MPG highway. Inside the car, you can find extra legroom in the back with more comfortable seats than the 2013 model that can come in leather if you go for the LTZ trim, the highest available. All trims come with a touchscreen interface that will give you all the convenience you’d expect from a new sedan, from GPS to voice controls, satellite radio access, and voice-to-text messaging capability for most major smartphones.
On top of that, most trims have a 16.3 cubic foot trunk, which is larger than most sedan offer today. Only the Eco has a smaller 14.3 cubic foot trunk. Standard features for the upper trims include dual-zone climate control, a power passenger seat, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Standard features on the LS trim, the lowest available, include keyless entry, a 6-speaker sound system complete with a CD player, and automatic headlights. Many LT and LTZ features are available for the LS via great option packages.
