The 2019 Chevy Suburban offers a few updates and changes for the incoming model year. Two colors have been eliminated (Havana Metallic and Tungsten Metallic) while one new exterior color option has been added (Shadow Gray Metallic). It is expected that this will be the final year for this generation of Chevy Suburban with an expected all-new version to be offered in the 2020-2021 time frame.
All new for 2019 is the option for a 6.2 liter V8 engine. This will be made available as an optional part of the RST Performance package which was originally seen offered on the 2018 Tahoe. This engine upgrade would change the vehicle from featuring a 5.3 liter V8 with 355 horsepower to a 6.2 liter V8 offering 420 horsepower. It would also upgrade the transmission from a standard 6-speed transmission to an automatic 10-speed.
The Chevy Suburban is a well-received combination of luxury, functionality, and versatility in a single vehicle. It is a full-sized SUV with a smaller version (Chevy Tahoe) offered to those who wish to have a smaller vehicle. Some of the luxury options offered in this highly functional, large seating capacity vehicle include three zone automatic climate control, a leather wrapped steering wheel, power lift gate, heated bucket seats with power adjustable front seats and the added bonus of a new infotainment system expected to be included for 2019.
