This year at the Kansas City Bartle Hall Car Show, Chevy showed off its new design for possible release on the Corvette. I have always been a fan of the Stingray style from the 60’s, and Chevy seems to want to resurrect a legend! With a seemingly more “Batmobile” physique, Chevy displays the Stingray Concept’s short windows and elongated front, giving it a definite look and feel, famous for concept cars. Prepare to be introduced to the “Wow factor” in this video! Welcome to the future!
Now, I’ve seen some concept cars, but nothing has ever caught my eye like the Stingray Concept! This vehicle shows off a conceptual hybrid powertrain and futuristic function and design. I love the fact that there are no door handles at all! Everything is automatic and power functioning. Chevy also gives it a more Ferrari-like feel with the Butterfly Doors and reverse style hood. My heart is still pounding at the thought of this resurrected legend!
My biggest hope is that the Stingray doesn’t just stay in the concept stage, but actually makes it onto the road. With no valid information online regarding any hopes for an actual production line of Stingrays, my dream to own one of the most awesome vehicles in the world stays just that; a dream. For any inside information regarding a possible release, feel free to stop by Les Stanford Chevrolet Cadillac at 21730 Michigan Ave Dearborn, MI 48124 to speak to a Chevrolet representative for the most updated information!
After a recent accident, David Arquette stays true to Cadillac.
Recently David Arquette was involved in a head-on collision earlier in the year in his Cadillac STS. Luckily Arquette and the other people involved were not seriously injured. After having his Cadillac STS totaled, Arquette decided buy a new Escalade and stay true to the Cadillac brand.
Arquette’s new purchase is a 2011 black Cadillac Escalade. The 2011 Escalade has many safety features to help keep Arquette safe if he was in another accident. The Escalade has driver and passenger front airbags with an on/off switch for the passenger side air bag. The Cadillac Escalade has a great safety feature that helps keep accidents from happening in the first place with the StabiliTrak Electronic Control System. The StabiliTrak System can sense when the Escalade is starting to skid or slide and will apply extra brake pressure and lower the engine’s torque to help the driver regain control in seconds. The 2011 Escalade also has Traction Control to give the vehicle greater handling and allows the driver to manage turns easier. In the event of an accident, the Cadillac Escalade comes with a six month subscription to OnStar that will immediately notify the closest emergency crew to the location of your accident without you having to call 9-1-1. With OnStar you will receive wonderful safety services like 24/7 roadside assistance and in the event your vehicle is stolen, OnStar can notify police the exact location of your Escalade.
So do you think Arquette’s new purchase will help keep him safe in the future? What do you think of the 2011 Escalade’s safety features? Is there something the Escalade can improve on? Let us know!

Introducing the all new 2011 Chevy Volt, the all new electric car to Chevy’s line up. The Chevy Volt will have you wondering if you ever want to go with a gas car again. The really cool thing about the Volt is that it does not have a traditional transmission, but that does not take away from the power of this car. The experience of when you drive the new Volt is amazing because it actually feels like you are accelerating even faster than a normal car. That makes it feel like a type of torque that Chevy has named instant torque. You will be very impressed with just this aspect of the Volt.
The Volt can reach up to 40 miles off one charge, making it the perfect commute car. Another great aspect of this car is that the Volt can go from 0-60 in less than 9 seconds (which is unbelievable for an electric car). You maybe wondering what it’s like to drive the Volt. Well driving the Volt is very smooth and powerful, very fast off the line and not to mention that it is a very quiet car. If you are looking for a car that you will not have to worry about gas, then the 2011 Chevy Volt is the car for you.
The all new 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 is nothing short of beautiful. Coming available with Vortec V8 engine with over 300 horsepower and 300 lbs a ft. of torque there is absolutely nothing that can stand in the way of the Silverado. If you feel like you need more power the Silverado can be upgraded to a Vortec 6.2 L V8 engine that has over 403 horsepower and over 417 lbs of torque. With that engine that would mean the 2011 Chevy 1500 is the most powerful half-ton crew cab.
The new Silverado is very fuel efficient, getting 15 mpg in the city and at least 21 on the highway. That means you can go for miles without stopping in your new Silverado. A great benefit of the new Silverado is all the safety aspects of this truck. You can get a rearview camera installed in the truck for all the times when you cant see behind you. Another great aspect is the tow mode. When you are towing a huge trailer behind you the last thing you want is for that to come lose, but when you are driving the new Silverado towing is no longer something you need to worry about. The Silverado 1500 is everything you are looking for in a truck and maybe a little more.
With the introduction of the Corvette Engine Build Experience, no other performance car affords owners as many opportunities to be personally involved with their car as the Corvette. Only Corvette owners can watch their car travel down the assembly line, take delivery at the National Corvette Museum, and learn what their Corvette is capable of on the track.
“There are very few car enthusiasts in the world who can say their car is capable of 205 miles an hour,” said Jim Campbell, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing. “There are even fewer who can say they helped build their own engine, watched their car be built from the ground up, and took delivery across the street from the factory.”
The Chevrolet Camaro Coupe LS is a real head turner. This vehicle has it all. If some of the captivating colors it comes in aren’t enough to make you want to look twice, then its features certainly will.
