Chevy has redesigned its flagship sedan, the 2018 Malibu, providing the consumer with more options than ever. The exterior styling is updated, giving it a more stylish and modern design comparable to the rest of the class.
The 2018 Chevy Malibu features two different 4-cylinder engine options: a 1.5 Liter that is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission that gets 29 mpg combined, and a 2.0 Liter that is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. There is also a hybrid option available that stretches the already-generous gas mileage to 41 mpg combined. The Malibu’s interior is roomy for its class and comes standard with Chevy’s MyLink infotainment system, cloth seats, and steering wheel controls.
There are four model trims available that include the base L, LS, LT, and Premier trims. The base L features 16-inch steel wheels, keyless entry and start, daytime running lights and a 6-speaker stereo with Bluetooth. The LS gives you 16-inch alloy wheels, the MyLink infotainment system with 7-inch display that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rearview camera, and a USB charging port.
If you choose to upgrade to the LT model you get 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, power driver’s seat, and ambient lighting. The Premier trim is divine with a Bose premium sound system, leather seating, heated steering wheel, 8-inch touchscreen, remote start, and the 2.0 Liter turbo engine.
