In fact, while the Silverado gets a lot of attention, the Equinox sold over 242,000 units in 2014 alone – and for good reason. The equinox is a leader in the hot compact-crossover segment. Realizing this, Chevrolet performed a makeover for the 2016 model year, packing in new cosmetics and tech upgrades.

If towing power is your concern, the V-6 edition Equinox is rated up to 3,500 pounds of towing capacity. In addition to the power upgrades, four-wheel drive is available on all models from the LT and above.
The real fun begins in the tech department. If keeping your backseat passengers entertained is important, Chevrolet has designed tablet holders attachable to the back of the front seat as an available accessory. As with all new Chevrolet models, the Equinox comes with OnStar but also includes a three-month/three-gigabyte trial of blazingly fast 4G LTE wireless data services. As if this wasn’t cool enough, standard in the LT and LTZ versions is Chevrolet MyLink. MyLink offers both blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alerts. Even better, standard across all versions are a backup camera, new interior fabrics, and a huge 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth phone connectivity.
